Belvue — Privacy Policy

Effective: October 12, 2026

Belvue collects no data.

No collection, no tracking

There are no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking SDKs. The app has no account system and runs entirely on your Mac.

Your images stay on your device

Belvue reads the image files you open, and the other images in the same folder once you allow access to that folder, only to display them on your Mac. Images, file names, folder paths, and metadata such as EXIF are never sent to the developer or to anyone else.

What is stored on your device

Belvue stores a small amount of data only on your Mac: viewing preferences (such as the background and panel settings), the folder permissions you grant (security-scoped bookmarks), the list of images you have picked, the undo history of your file actions, and simple counters used to decide when to show a one-time prompt. None of it leaves your device.

Your files

Belvue does not modify your original image files. When you ask it to convert a photo, it saves the result as a new file in the same folder or one you choose, and you can remove location information from that copy. Nothing leaves your device. The Pro actions that move an image to the Trash or to another folder run only when you ask for them, only with the access you have granted, and are never performed in the background.

No network access of its own

Belvue contains no networking code of its own. Apart from the App Store purchase flow described below, the app makes no network requests.

Payments

Belvue Pro is offered as an auto-renewing Monthly or Yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. All purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit; prices are shown before purchase in your local currency and billed to your Apple Account. The Yearly subscription may include a free trial for eligible users. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period and can be managed or cancelled in System Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. The developer never receives or stores your payment information.

No third-party sharing

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose to third parties.
