IntervalRunner Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 3, 2026
IntervalRunner ("the App", "we", "our") is developed and operated by JUKI, an individual developer in the Republic of Korea ("the developer"). Developer information: JUKI · business registration number (Korea) 604-20-14584 · email support@setlog.net.
IntervalRunner is available for iPhone and Apple Watch (iOS and watchOS) and for Android phones and Wear OS watches. This page explains which terms apply to each version. Please read it before you use the App or buy a subscription.
In short: everything you need to run is free. IntervalRunner Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store (iPhone and Apple Watch) or Google Play (Android and Wear OS); it renews and is charged automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time in the store where you bought it. The App gives general fitness guidance only — it is not medical advice and not a medical device.
1. Which Terms Apply
- iPhone and Apple Watch: your use of the App, including subscriptions bought through the App Store, is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and the App Store's terms. Purchases, free trials, billing, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and Family Sharing are handled by Apple. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Sections 2 to 4 and 17 of this page also apply to the iPhone and Apple Watch app as information; nothing on this page replaces or limits the Standard EULA.
- Android and Wear OS: these Terms of Use ("Terms") apply — all sections of this page.
2. Health and Safety — Not Medical Advice (all versions)
Important: IntervalRunner is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
- Heart-rate zones, heart-rate targets, recovery-based step endings, and pace guidance are general fitness information. They are not medical advice and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
- Heart-rate readings from watch or chest-strap sensors, and pace and distance readings, may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical purposes.
- Heart-rate zones are estimates. Age-based zones use a general formula (208 − 0.7 × age) and may not match your actual maximum heart rate; zones based on values you enter are only as accurate as those values.
- Voice, sound, and vibration alerts can be delayed or missed — for example because of battery saving, the operating system, Bluetooth, GPS, or sensor conditions. Do not rely on them for your safety.
- Consult a doctor before starting an exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have not exercised for a while.
- Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness, or shortness of breath.
- Run safely: obey traffic rules, stay aware of your surroundings, and keep audio alerts at a volume that lets you hear traffic and other people. Do not look at your phone or watch when it is unsafe to do so.
- You are responsible for choosing workouts that suit your fitness level.
3. AI Voice (all versions)
The App's spoken alerts are pre-made voice clips generated with AI text-to-speech and bundled with the App. No speech is generated or downloaded while you use the App. The voice is not the voice of a real person.
4. Your Data (all versions)
The App has no accounts, and your workouts and history are stored on your device. With your permission, the App may read and write workout data in Apple Health (iPhone and Apple Watch) or Health Connect (Android). How the App handles your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which, for the Android and Wear OS app, forms part of these Terms.
5. Agreement and Eligibility (Android and Wear OS)
By downloading, installing, or using the Android or Wear OS app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. If you have a subscription and no longer agree, cancel it in Google Play as described in Section 10.
Eligibility: the Android and Wear OS app is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use it and to buy a subscription. The App does not verify age; if the optional birth year you enter shows you are under 18, the App shows no ads on that device (see the Privacy Policy).
6. The Service (Android and Wear OS)
IntervalRunner for Android phones and Wear OS watches lets you set time, distance, or heart-rate intervals, and alerts you by voice, sound effects, and vibration when you drift from your target pace.
- The App has no user accounts, and we do not operate a server for it. Your workouts and history are kept on your device.
- We may update, change, or stop offering features of the App from time to time. Features available to you may depend on your device, its sensors, and your Android or Wear OS version.
7. Free and Pro (Android and Wear OS)
- Free: everything you need to run is free. The Free version shows ads (see Section 11).
- IntervalRunner Pro: a paid subscription that removes ads and unlocks additional features, as described on the App's subscription screen (paywall) and in the Google Play listing.
- When Pro ends: your data, workouts, and history stay on your device. Content beyond the Free limits remains available to read, run, duplicate, and delete, but editing and analysis of that content are locked until you subscribe again.
8. Subscriptions, Billing and Auto-Renewal (Google Play)
- Plans: IntervalRunner Pro is offered as Pro Annual (1 year) and Pro Monthly (1 month), sold only through Google Play Billing.
- Price: the price is the one shown on the paywall and in Google Play for your country at the time of purchase, including any taxes Google Play applies.
- Payment: payment is charged to the payment method on your Google Play account. We never see or store your payment details.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (1 year or 1 month), and the renewal is charged to your Google Play account, until you cancel.
- Price changes: if the price of your subscription changes, Google Play notifies you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent. You can cancel before the new price applies.
- Changing plans: switching from Monthly to Annual takes effect immediately: Google Play charges the full annual price and adds the unused value of your monthly period as extra subscription time. Switching from Annual to Monthly takes effect at your next renewal.
- Account hold and pause: if Google Play places your subscription on hold (for example, after a failed payment) or you pause it, Pro is not available while it is on hold or paused.
- Restore purchases: the "Restore Purchases" button re-reads your purchases from Google Play, for example on a new device signed in to the same Google account.
- Promo codes: promotional codes, if offered, are redeemed in Google Play.
9. Free Trial (Google Play)
- Pro Annual includes a 7-day free trial for eligible users. Google Play decides eligibility — typically new subscribers, one trial per account.
- When the trial ends, the annual subscription starts and is charged automatically, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Before a free trial converts to a paid subscription, the developer notifies you of the conversion date, the amount, and how to cancel, at the time and in the manner required by applicable law.
- In the current version, the App also shows a confirmation when the trial starts, a notice in Settings and on the subscription screen during the last 3 days of the trial, and — if you allow notifications — a reminder 3 days before the trial ends. These reminders are aids: a notification may not appear, for example if notifications are turned off. Google Play also sends its own notices.
10. Cancellation and Refunds (Google Play)
- How to cancel: at any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, or from the App via Settings › Subscription › Manage in Google Play. Uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.
- After cancelling: Pro stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, cancelling does not refund the rest of the current period.
- Refunds: you can request a refund through Google Play (see Google Play's refund help page). If a refund is not processed through Google Play, contact us at support@setlog.net with your order number, and we will review it under applicable law and refund through Google Play where applicable.
- Withdrawal within 7 days: if you have not used any Pro feature since paying, you may withdraw from the purchase (청약철회) within 7 days of payment by requesting a refund through Google Play or by emailing us. Once you have used Pro features after paying, the provision of digital content has begun, so withdrawal may be limited as permitted by law; the purchase screen states this. If Pro is materially different from how it was described or advertised, you may withdraw within 3 months of receiving it, or within 30 days of when you learned or could have learned of the difference.
- Users in Korea: withdrawal of purchase and refunds follow the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce of Korea and Google Play's policies.
- iPhone and Apple Watch: refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple (Section 1).
- Nothing in this section limits any refund or withdrawal rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country.
11. Ads (Android Free version)
- The Free version of the Android and Wear OS app shows ads served by Google AdMob. Where required, your consent is requested through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).
- Ads are never shown during a run.
- Your health data is never used for ads.
- IntervalRunner Pro removes ads.
- The iPhone and Apple Watch app shows no ads.
12. License and Acceptable Use (Android and Wear OS)
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Google Play's terms. You may not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent the App or its content (including the voice clips and sound effects);
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it;
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with subscription checks, ads, or other technical restrictions in the App;
- use the App in any unlawful way or in a way that could harm the App or others.
All rights not expressly granted remain with the developer. If you breach these Terms, your license ends automatically.
13. Third-Party Services (Android and Wear OS)
The App works with services provided by third parties, whose own terms and privacy policies apply:
- Google Play — purchases, billing, renewals, refunds, and subscription management
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform — ads and consent for Free users
- Google Maps SDK for Android — route maps on a run's detail screen (Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service)
- Google Play services — location services and the Wear OS Data Layer between your phone and watch
- Health Connect — workout data you choose to share
These Terms are between you and the developer only. Google is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability (Android and Wear OS)
- Readings and alerts: the App's measurements and alerts depend on your device, its sensors, and the environment, and may be inaccurate, delayed, or missed. To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without a warranty that it will be error-free or uninterrupted or that its readings and alerts will be accurate.
- Indirect damages: to the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages.
- Limit: to the extent permitted by law, the developer's total liability for any other direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for IntervalRunner Pro in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- Exceptions: the two items above do not apply to damages caused by the developer's intent or gross negligence, or to death or personal injury caused by the developer's negligence.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer in your country.
15. Changes (Android and Wear OS)
We may change these Terms. When we do, we will update the Effective Date above and let you know in the App or in the Google Play listing. For material changes that affect paid subscribers, we will give notice at least 7 days before the change takes effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that are adverse to you. If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the App and cancel your subscription before they take effect.
16. Governing Law (Android and Wear OS)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute will be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protection given to you by the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
